Kailem Barwick died in 2016, at 19-years-old, after a battle with Ewing's sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Kailem’s father Tony said showers kept attendance numbers down, which impacted the final figure.

While organisers are still counting the funds, Mr Barwick estimates just over $30,000 was raised on the day.
Money will be set aside for the Chris O’Brian Lifehouse, where Kailem attended treatment and for families impacted by cancer.
“If we can help families in any way, that’s our goal.. to ease the financial burden,” Mr Barwick said.
While they didn’t hit their initial target of $50,000, Mr Barwick said they were over the moon with what was raised.
“It’s a nice figure and we’re very happy with what was raised.. all in all we had a great time and it’s a nice way to remember Kailem,” Mr Barwick said.
He said they miss Kailem every day.
“One of the saddest things is feeling like you’re child has been forgotten. Everyone else goes on with life, so it was nice to see his name in everything,” Mr Barwick said.

A lot of behind the scenes work went into organsing the event and Mr Barwick said he couldn’t have done it without the support from sponsors, the community and those who attended.
Mr Barwick gave a special mention to the Tomingley Hotel, Ronnie Crocker, Kim Thomas and Pauline Miller.
“All of the support has been a great. And it helps us as a family,” he said.
There were a number of auctions, raffles and prizes on the day, as well as activities for children, a chili eating competition and a World Record attempt by Max the dog who jumped 3.2 metres.
“While it’s still got to be verified, we’re confident he set the record,” Mr Barwick said.
