The match represents the first regular season fixture that’s been played at Glen Willow as the previous game was a trial in 2014 between Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets.

“We’ve been here (Mudgee) previously and I can’t say how grateful we are that they’re hosting us here,” Mr Tsatsimas said.

“Being a boy who lived up the road at Wallerawang a great number of years ago, it certainly warms my heart that we’re able to come up here and play our first competitive fixture.

“We want to engage as many people in the region and bring our community program, which is well known throughout the A-League, and provide that experience to the region.

“I have no doubt that our players, fans and members a tour of the mid west and central west something to remember and hopefully it’s a start of things to come.”

The Wanderers have been playing away from their normal home venue over the past few years and Mr Tsatsimas believes the red and black contingent at Glen Willow will give the Wanderers a home-game atmosphere.

“I can assure everyone on the day, the atmosphere here will be amazing and electric. Synonymous with the Western Sydney Wanderers,” he said.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster on August 10 and John Tsatsimas expects them to sell “like hotcakes”.
