The team at Carter Lindsay and Weber, Dubbo sold extra heavy weight, second cross lambs for $278 a head today on behalf of Robert and Jenny Attenborough, Tottenham - smashing the previous record of $270.60/hd set on July 9, 2018.
“The lambs were all over 77 kilograms live weight,” John Lindsay, Carter Lindsay and Weber, said.

In a recent market update video, Ray White Rural’s David Armitage said the Dubbo sheep market had been very strong.
“It’s as strong as we’ve ever seen it,” he said.
“Producers are getting very good money for their old ewes in the mutton market and we are seeing record prices in the lamb market.
“There is some real strength in any lambs that have got condition on them - producers are getting paid handsomely.”
The record has been set, and reset, at the last three weekly sales - each topping the week before.
Meat and Livestock Australia’s National Livestock Reporting Service reported plenty of sales over 800 cents/kilogram for trade lambs at Monday’s sale, where 30,260 head were yarded.
The record for Merino lambs is currently $233/hd, which was set at last week’s sheep and lamb sale.
