DUBBO PARK RUN
Spots, stripes and balloons will adorn Sandy Beach at 8am on Saturday as Dubbo parkrun celebrates it’s third birthday. See what the city’s runners got up to here.
BRAINSTORM
Extension cords resembling neurones hang from the ceiling of the 70-seat tiered theatre at Western Plains Cultural Centre (WPCC). On stage there were 10 teenagers looking at their phones and practising their lines for an Australia-first show that aims to get families talking. Check out what Brainstorm was all about here.
SCOUTS CAR WASH
It’s not the first time they’ve cleaned up to clean up. The Scouts held a car wash to raise money for their club. They braved the winter and cleaned what they could on a bitterly cold weekend.
ANTIQUES AND COLLECTABLES FAIR
The community had a chance to find a unique item or two at the Dubbo Antiques and Collectables Fair. Almost 20 exhibitors had their wares for sale at the event, which was organised by the Rotary Club of Dubbo. Fair coordinator Carla Pittman said there was quite a variety on offer, including new stallholders who had never attended before.
