Its director of regional development Megan Dixon has praised Dubbo Regional Council for its commitment to reinstating flights to Brisbane and Melbourne for the “benefit of residents in the region”.
“This is very exciting news,” she said.
“After JETGO went into voluntary administration, there was a definite gap in services in terms of air travel to and from Dubbo.

“Dubbo City Regional Airport is a transport hub for this entire region, providing 200 flights per week across the eastern seaboard.
“To see flights into Brisbane and Melbourne returned is very promising for holidaymakers and business travellers, as well as those who need to attend medical appointments in one of the capital cities.
“This announcement will return Dubbo to its former status of travel to seven destinations across four airlines.”
Mrs Dixon said Fly Corporate, owned by Corporate Air, was an Australian company which had been running for more than 40 years, operating chartered and commercial flights.
Fly Corporate will begin flying from Dubbo to Brisbane on August 7 and to Melbourne on September 28.
