Businesses will get the opportunity to learn about cost-effective promotion at an upcoming event by the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber’s July breakfast event, which will be held Friday, will feature keynote speaker Shar Moore. The editor-in-chief of YMag will speak about marketing on a shoestring budget as well as speaking about her charity Project RANI.
Ms Moore opened a five-star wellness spa in Abu Dhabi. Despite the common idiom of ‘location, location, location’ being everything, the spa was in a dead end street in a residential sector.
After six months, the 18-room spa was fully booked, seven days a week. It attracted the attention of the royal family and Etihad Airways had asked her to open her brand of spa for the 4500 people in their cabin crew.
Ms Moore will also speak about her charity work through Project RANI (Raising Awareness for Needs in India).
Project RANI focuses on three main issues: keeping children in school until they are 18-years-old instead of becoming young brides, transporting the children to school by purchasing a bus and renovating kitchen facilities for more hygienic food preparation.
Tickets to the July Breakfast, which will be held at the Dubbo RSL, are available on the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce Website. It’s $33 for members to attend and $44 for non-members.
The event will start at 7am, while the presentation will began at 7.30am.
