The two workshops, one on Tuesday July 17, and the other on Thursday, July 19, will be held at 11am, and show children the ins and outs of petresponsibility.
My First Pet is an hour long school holiday workshop, which aims to educate our little critters on the needs of the humble hermit crab, ensuring they get the love they deserve to enjoy their new shells.
Petbarn Dubbo Store Manager, Renay Armstrong said animal welfare is very important for kids to understand at an early age how to treat animals and what is means to own a pet.
“Getting your first pet is a special and exciting moment for the whole family, but it’s very important to know the responsibilities that come with owning a pet. We are very excited to be hosting this fun activity for kids and families who are looking to welcome a new little life in their home,” Renay said.
“With the help of Krabooz, these free workshops will have fun activities for kids to interact with hermit crabs and really get under the shell of what it means to own one. We’re very excited to extend this program to our community and encourage families to pop in to our store and sign up to be a part of this crab-tivating activity,”
The first My First Pet workshop will include activities for the whole family, including colouring-in and playing with real life hermit crabs.
