A man and a woman have been charged following an alleged aggravated robbery in Dubbo on Thursday.

About 2pm on Thursday a man armed with a metal pole and shears allegedly threatened two brothers, aged 19 and 18, at a home on Leavers Street.
Police were told the man demanded money and personal items from the brothers before forcing one of the them into the driver’s seat of a Ford Falcon.
A woman then allegedly entered the vehicle and the pair threatened the driver with a knife, forcing him to drive them through the Dubbo area.
The pair exited the vehicle a short time later on Macquarie Street and the driver notified police of the incident.
Following inquiries, officers from Orana Mid Western Police District arrested a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman at a hotel on Macquarie Street.
The pair were taken to Dubbo Police Station where they were charged with five offences including assault with intent to rob armed with offensive weapon, take/detain person in company with intent to obtain advantage, two counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
They appeared at Dubbo Local Court on Friday where they were both refused bail to reappear on Friday, September 7.
The brothers were not physically injured during the incident.
