Dubbo CYMS coach Tim Ryan has labelled the decision to make his side play two games in two days as “ridiculous” despite the Fishies taking down Parkes on Sunday.

After playing a key role in Saturday’s NSW Challenge Cup victory over the Guildford Owls, Bayden Searle stood up when it counted and scored two tries in the final 10 minutes to secure a stunning come-from-behind win over the Spacemen at Apex Oval.
And while Ryan was immensely proud of his players, the majority of the side played both games, he again questioned the decision to play the Group 11 game go ahead on Sunday.

“There will be a few people not happy to see us win both games but that’s the way it goes,” he said on Sunday.
“I just think having to play two games in two days is ridiculous but we went two from two and that’s very, very pleasing.
“I thought we were given an unachievable challenge but we’ve thrown it back in their faces now.”
While Saturday’s win was emphatic, Sunday’s game against Parkes was anything but.
A try to CYMS’ Corey Cox was cancelled out by Parkes’ Joey Dwyer early on and it seemed the sides would go into the sheds at 6-all until John Grey scored late on to give his side a 10-6 lead.
CYMS then suffered a potentially serious blow when Alex Bonham was carted from the field and to hospital with an ankle injury and with Parkes leading 18-10 it seemed the weekend had become to much for the Fishies.
But Searle, combining with former Western Rams under 18s halves partner Matt Burton, took control and went on to win the match for his side, scoring his second try with roughly two minutes remaining.
“He was enormous,” Ryan said of Searle.
“Everyone was tired but all game he gave us energy and made the last 10 or 15 minutes his own.”
Ryan added Burton “really stepped up” when taking Bonham’s place at five-eighth in the second half.
In terms of Bonham’s injury, Ryan confessed it was a serious worry for his side but there was no immediate diagnosis available.
For Parkes, the chance to remain level on Wellington slipped away and with Forbes downing Macquarie the Spacemen now slip to fourth.
Chad Porter was again handy for Parkes, scoring a try and landing three goals in the defeat.
The win for CYMS means the men in white remain unbeaten and four points clear of second on the ladder.
