This is the 18th year the challenge has encouraged students to learn about science, engineering and technology. Students from high schools in Dubbo,Gilgandra and Mudgee worked together to build hovercrafts, bridges and catapults.
Team leader Chris Hendry said “it will help students prepare for careers in STEM that don’t exist yet.
St Johns College Dubbo student Adhina Jose said, “I went in primary school as well, I really enjoyed the challenge, we did something different today which was really fun”.
Fellow student, James Joseph said, “I think its a really great opportunity to apply my knowledge in science and engineering.”
