"Digital Literacy is a key component of 21st Century skills and it is imperative that schools are teaching kids to code as early as possible," Central West Leadership Academy principal Mandi Randell said.
"The training day will give teachers access to basic skills in coding in addition to over 150 hours of lesson plans and materials to support coding in their schools.”
"I am so pleased to have such a strong turn out. This really shows Dubbo values STEM in education."
The day was worth five hours of NESA registered PD and was offered free of charge to local teachers as it is sponsored by Code Club Australia.
Over 30 teachers attended the event which is a very strong turn out for this first annual regional event. The event was supported by CSU.
