All eyes were on the outstanding competitors as the curtains went up.
The acts came from across the disciplines of vocal and choral, speech and drama, dance, and instrumental.

Those selected for the grand concert were chosen by eisteddfod adjudicators.
Young ballerinas Shylah Warren, Leila Pearce, Eva Taylor and London Yeomans from Orana Dance Centre showed poise ahead of their performance on Saturday.
The day also saw a surprise honour presented to the woman at the helm of the cultural event.
City of Dubbo Eisteddfod committee president Barbara Redgrave was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Dubbo.
