Neon Party brought together 100 guests aged under 18 years at the Wingewarra Activity Centre.
There they were greeted by the Galaxy Girls, curators of the night’s entertainment.
The group of Wellington girls came together through the Barnados Reconnect program with mentoring and technical guidance from Signal Creative.
This year Signal Creative received a $2500 Indent Youth Music Event Development Grant to continue fostering local female talent by staging the Neon Party.
Signal Creative co-director Emma Hoy said the event had been fantastic.
“We were at capacity,” she said.
“We had 100 young people attend from Mudgee, Wellington and Dubbo.”
Live performers including Heidi Maree and Gabrielle Flanagan had been really well-received, Ms Hoy said.
“Loads of kids were asking when the next one is,” Ms Hoy said.
