RiverSmart chief Dr Bill Phillips announced the funding win on Wednesday.
“Thanks to the NSW Heritage Grants program, we're to receive just over $100,000 to create an outdoor community stage at the WOW Centre,” he said.
“The funds will also go toward landscaping and associated irrigation, plus improvements to lighting around the precinct.”
“Plus, the stage structure will give us somewhere to hang the soon-to-be-completed information panels detailing the feats of Warren's many high achievers.”
A second new grant will help it attract schools.
“Thanks to the generosity of the James N Kirby Foundation we've been granted $10,000 to help school excursions get to the WOW Centre from across the region,” Dr Phillips said.
He reports the subsidy is open to all schools across the region, and urged the schools to “be quick to sign up”.
