Emergency services were called to West Dubbo on Tuesday afternoon after a pedestrian hit a truck travelling near Lions Park.

The 48-year-old pedestrian was walking north-west on the footpath across the LH Ford Bridge when they entered the slip lane.
Orana Mid-Western Police told the media as the pedestrian was walking across the road they walked into the path of a truck, they collided with the right rear side of the truck and were thrown into the air, before landing on the ground.
The truck driver and nearby witnesses provided first aid for the pedestrian before emergency services arrived.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Dubbo Hospital before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital by helicopter in an unstable condition.
