Held at 105 Sydney Road, Kelso, cars are set to go under the hammer at midday with various kind of big, power and rare classic cars up for grabs.
In what is set to be the highlight car of the auction, a 1971 Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III will be on offer.
Auctioneers believe it could sell for up to $1 million or more.
The car is in incredible demand with collectors and investors because of its small production run and the rarity of GTHOs.
The one that will be on auction on Saturday is the same one sold by Australian fast bowler Jeff Thompson over 30 years ago.
Thomson believes his old car, nicknamed ‘Big Red’, could fetch over $1 million.
“Since Australian car manufacturing has ceased, it seems to me that prices have kicked on and Lloyds Auctions are set to break another record,” he said.
“This car broke a record for being the fastest four-door car in the world.”
Thomson originally bought the car for $23,000.
The new owner of the car will inherit all original log books of its immaculate journey, along with photos of Thomson in the GTHO Phase III.
Another highlight of the auction is a 1977 Holden Torana A9X Prototype, which could fetch over $500,000.
Plenty of people from Sydney and across NSW are set to descend on Bathurst on Saturday to try and bid their way to claiming one of the many classic cars on offer.
Another highlight on the day is set to be the huge classic car display, which will run alongside the car auction.
Free magazines, sausage sizzle, coffee and drinks will also be available on at the auction.
