An updated forecast from www.weatherzone.com.au has brought good news for those hoping to see some snow in town.
In Dubbo temperatures are expected to reach a top of 15 degrees on Saturday and 12 on Sunday, with a low of three degrees on Saturday and two degrees on Sunday.
Across the rest of the region snow is expected fall down to about 600 metres above sea level in parts of NSW, with high country on the outskirts of Bathurst certain to get a decent coating while flakes in the CBD remain an outside chance.
According to weatherzone's Ben Domensino, the coldest air will arrive on Saturday and Sunday, when snow will settle in many parts of the Central West.
Some places in NSW are forecast to experience their lowest maximum temperature in two or more years this weekend, including Sydney (14 degrees Celcius), Canberra (7 degrees), Bathurst (6 degrees) and Goulburn (6 degrees).
