His hard work and persistence finally paid off last Saturday when he landed a monstrous Murray Cod on a stretch of the Lachlan River near Bedgerabong.
The cod measured 110cm long and weighed in at 90 pounds – almost 41 kilograms.
Will used an assassin spinner bait to reel in the cod and later released her.
If you have any good fishing holes, share their locations with the fishing team from Agriwest Forbes to support rural men’s health.
The team at Agriwest, have joined more than 80 teams in the Bayer Big Fish Challenge which is a year long event with three major challenges.
Each competing team’s largest catch will add up to dollars to be donated to The Fly Program, a not-for-profit organisation that aims to create life-changing outdoors experiences for Australian men who need time to recharge.
The Challenge is donating a dollar amount for every centimetre of the largest fish caught (per type, per team), committing a minimum of $20,000.
