Adam Eckersley and Brooke McClymont will perform in Dubbo | Competition

Australia’s golden couple of country music are taking their national tour to Dubbo next month to promote their first ever album together.

Earlier this year they celebrated their debut album ‘Adam and Brooke’, which hit the number one spot on the ARIA Country Album Chart.

The five-month long ‘Highway Sky Tour’ will take the duo across Australia and they’ll be taking some of the brightest emerging talent with them.

The 2018 Toyota Star Maker winner, Brad Cox will support on the majority of newly announced shows with Imogen Clark, Melanie Dyer, Tori Forsyth, Andrew Thomson, Blake O’Connor and Brad Butcher supporting on various dates for the rest of the tour.

Adam is no stranger to western NSW, having previously lived in Dubbo and Cobar.

Having lived in rural towns, Adam said it was crucial to both him and Brooke to get there and perform at the smaller venues.

“It’s important to play for a regional audience, there’s not always a lot of stuff going through those smaller towns,” he said.

“The shows have been amazing and we’re making brand new fans along the way,” Brooke said.

They will perform in Dubbo on Saturday, July 7, with support from Blake O’Connor at the Dubbo RSL.

Audiences can expect to hear the entire collection of songs from the  ‘Adam and Brooke’ album, as well as some cover songs and songs from each of their bands.

They described the shows as a whole lot of fun and they even interact with the audience.

After the tour finishes, Adam and Brooke will each go back to performing with the respective bands.

But fans have no need to worry, Adam and Brooke both said at some stage they will tour together again, although it may not be for another couple of years so they encouraged everyone to grab their tickets now.

“It’s a show not to be missed,” Brooke said.
