There are appointments available for “eyebrow tinting, gel nails, massages, facials, waxing, manicure and pedicure, men’s and women’s hair cuts, and hair colours and foils,” Hairdressing and Beauty Head Teacher, Robyn Mawbey said.
“The services you can access at TAFE NSW for $20, might cost you more than $100 elsewhere,” Ms Mawbey said.
Dubbo’s Helen Linnae has been a loyal customer for more than a decade.
“While they may be students, they are always extremely professional” and closely supervised, “meaning the quality is very good,” she said.
Residents can “get high-quality hairdressing and beauty services … while helping our next generation of beauticians and hairdressers get the skills they need to be successful,” Ms Mawbey said.
TAFE NSW Dubbo offers courses in Body Massage, Makeup, Lash and Brow Service, Hair Design, Nail Enhancements, and certificates in Beauty services and a Diploma in Beauty Therapy. Semester two enrollments are still open, through www.tafensw.edu.au.
