Paintings, prints, brass rubbings and more were on display with approximately 100 members of the public in attendance at the inagural event
Kintyre residents submitted their own artworks and collected pieces to the exhibition.
Social committee member Roger Hyman who proposed the idea, said it was met with “lukewarm reception”.
However, Mr Hyman said they were “swamped with entries by the last week.”
Notable artworks exhibited included those by Pro Hart, Robert Dickerson, and Eris Fleming. A print of an original oil by Pierre-Auguste Renoir “Dance at Bougival” was also displayed.
“We were overwhelmed by the success... everyone in the village and all the attendants loved it,” Mr Hyman said.
The social committee hope to host another art show next year.
The event raised $270 from gold coin donations and a raffle which will be donated to a local charity, determined at their next meeting.
