“Community members, consumers and carers” have been invited to attend an event at 41 Bultje Street on Monday from 2pm to 3pm.
They will get to speak to mental health clinicians and managers in an informal manner and ask questions about mental health and related services in the region.
The health district’s consumer and carer coordinator, Jennifer Coote, said the event was a good opportunity for people to have an informal chat about mental health.
“Sometimes people may feel uncomfortable talking about mental health, so we want to provide a relaxed environment for people to turn up and talk to us about their concerns, or the concerns they may have for a loved one,” she said.
“We want to engage with our local communities and open a conversation on the very important topic of mental health.”
