Parkes trainer Sharon Jeffries had won the recent Cups at Trangie and Grenfell with Rehanaat but had to share the spoils with Moree trainer Peter Sinclair when Rehanaat finished a dead heat for first with Track Flash in the CJ & AM Pastoral Company Marthaguy Picnic Cup (1400 metres) at Quambone on Saturday.
Ridden by Hawkesbury based Michael Wade, Rehanaat ($2 favourite) led for home from Hyacintha and Edge Of Madness before Track Flash (Ricky Blewitt, $3.50) gained an inside run to draw level on the line with Rehanaat while Cuban Lass ( Shannon Fogg, $3 ) was over four lengths away third.
Sharon Jeffries had earlier won the O’Brien Winter & Partners Class 2 Handicap (1200 metres) with Armedanddangerous (Michael Wade, $2.60) which led throughout.
George Wright who is also a trainer at Parkes had a busy day, winning at Cobar with Stravali and at Quambone with Choppa ridden by Narromine based Ricky Blewitt in the Sundowner Pub & Quambone Roo Shooters Class 1 Handicap,1400 metres.
Choppa ($3.50) raced close to the pace and won by over three lengths from Festival Of Light (Ridge Wilson, $2.50 fav.) and One Eye Watching (Alan Barton, $7).
Nyngan trainer Rodney Robb also supported both meetings winning with Northern Myth and Lucienne at Cobar and at Quambone with Retreat Star (Ridge Wilson, $1.70 fav.) which took out the Earth N Beauty Maiden Plate,1100 metres.
