The CYMS young gun only made 8 in the first game on Tuesday but shone in Thursday’s resounding victory.
After taking a catch, executing a runout and getting through three tidy overs with the ball, Larance pummelled an unbeaten 40 from just 30 balls in the successful run chase.
His efforts were the highlight off the mammoth win.
Pakistan could only manage a lowly 59 batting first and Larance dominated the run chase.
He hit three fours and four sixes as the target was reached inside 10 overs and with nine wickets in hand.
Prior to the series, Larance said he would trust his natural instincts and it was clear that worked.
Yash Pednekar made 16 not out from 25 balls and had the best seat in the house as his partner blasted away.
It gives Australia a 2-0 lead in the five-match one-day series while the two sides will also play each other in a Twenty20 match.
In the opening game, Australia made 208 before dismissing Pakistan for 199, with Larance taking 0/9 from five overs of off-spin.
He was much more involved in Thursday’s victory and will be hoping to carry that form over into the next three matches, played on Saturday and then next Tuesday and Thursday.
The Twenty20 is played next Friday.
