Two of Australia’s much-loved country music stars, Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole, are heading to Dubbo for a stripped back show this month.
The two have been performing together for many years on numerous tours and have become firm friends during that time.
Speaking to the Mailbox Shopper, Adam said he and Beccy always have a “good time and a good laugh” when they hit the road to tour.
“We know each other, warts and all,” Adam laughed.
“Neither of us take ourselves too seriously either.. our attitude (when performing) is that it’s all about the people, we’re not self indulgent.”
It’s all about escapism.. to have people let their hair down and just have fun.Adam Harvey
Adam said he was looking forward to getting back out to Dubbo to perform.
“It’s always a good area,” he said.
“There’s a lot of country music listeners out that way.”
The upcoming tour follows on the success of their 2017 number one country album, The Great Country Songbook Volume 11.
Adam and Beccy added a number of shows across Australia in 2018, and luckily enough the City of Dubbo was one of those towns.
“The tour started last year, but we just ran out of time (to do more shows),” Adam said.
“We finished in November 2017 and had a couple of months off… and then we thought let’s finish it off (with more shows).”
Adam said audiences can expect to hear plenty of classic country tunes, as well as original songs.
“When people come to our shows Bec and I want people to forget about the dramas in the world and just have a laugh,” he said.
“If we’ve done that, then we’ve done our job right.”
Adam said Dubbo audiences can expect a night of “lots of fun, laughs and energy.”
“It’s all about escapism.. to have people let their hair down and just have fun,” he said.
Adam said he would love people to come to the Dubbo show.
“It’ll be the last show in that area for a few years…,” he said.
The Dubbo show will be held on Saturday, April 21 at the Dubbo RSL.
