Glorious, glass out conditions set in for the entire weekend, making for ideal family camping weather that saw a small tent city emerge around the waters edge for the three day event.
Cricket score like catches were certainly not the norm for the weekends fishing, however some huge Yellow belly well over the magical 60cm were caught and released, with every fish that placed considered a trophy catch.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the marquee when the major prize of a Triton Ute was awarded to Graham Hughes, who at just 37 suffered an unexpected stroke last year.
Graham beamed with joy as he was driven out of the competition in his new car.
Macca Tierney from Wellington was awarded the trailer boat package that also brought a cheer from the many Wellington locals in the crowd.
The Inland Waterways volunteer committee would like to sincerely thank the 110 contributing sponsors from across central western NSW, and all who attended the annual fishing fundraiser.
The team is enjoying a well-deserved rest before getting to work planning the TEN year anniversary of the Lake Burrendong Classic.
