Wrigley, who just two weeks ago became the first player in Newtown’s history to play 400 games for the club, made 107 against RSL-Colts White to keep his side second, just three points off RSL-Colts Red.
Craig Pettit also made 88 in a 174-run stand as Newtown Black piled on 2/302.
Colts White toughed it out and finished at 7/105 after the 40 overs in reply with Jack benias making 40 while Pettit took 3/21.
CYMS White is hanging on to sixth spot and final place in the Dawson Cup finals following a 19-run win over South Dubbo.
Daniel Smith made 55 opening for the Cougars as his side made 198, with Jeff Shanks the damaging bowler with 3/56.
John Byrne made a fine 92 not out in reply and carried his bat but Souths finished at 4/179 after 40 overs.
Rugby Blue’s win over Macquarie Blue has give it a golden to chance to make the Dawson Cup finals.
Rugby Blue, led by Brent O’Malley’s 58 not out, made 193 before dismissing Macquarie Blue got just 64.
Matt Naden took a fine 3/5 from eight while Matt Ball top-score din the chase with 47. Rugby Blue sits seventh but faces last-placed Colts White in the final round.
RSL-Colts Red won again on Saturday and now stands just a win away from the RSL-Kelly Cup grand final.
Pat Cuskelly again fired, making 50 while Mike Coward made 51 not out in the total of 207 against Newtown Gold.
Shaun Swan took 3/41 and then his Tigers side gave the chase a real crack before eventually falling just 19 runs short.
Gary Milliken made 50 in the chase while Ben Bruce took 3/15 from five.
Macquarie White produced a strong run chase on Saturday to down Rugby Red and stay in a Dawson Cup finals spot.
Chad O’Brien took 4/27 for Macquarie White as Rugby Red was bowled out for 162.
It seemed the total would be much larger after Dale Smith (64) and Garry Goodman (44) added 81 for the first wicket.
Brad Roberts was again among the runs in the chase, finishing with 74 not out as he led his side to a vital victory.
CYMS Green’s Dawson Cup hopes took a hit when they were downed by third-placed Newtown White.
The Cougars began well with the ball and reduced Newtown White to 2/12 early but Chris Newbold (54) and then Peter Morrison (65) and Tim Beckenham (43) helped the side post 8/222.
Daryl Thompson took 2/28 from eight overs, and while the Cougars added 50 for the first wicket in reply they ultimately fell short.
Mat Sharp made 50 and Braydon McGhee scored 45 as the Cougars posted 195.
Alex Ford too a crucial 4/37 in the win.
Next weekend is the final round of the regular season.
