The playing surface at the hockey ground has undergone a $400,000 upgrade and now the new-look field is up to international standard.
To celebrate this fact, Dubbo Hockey Association will hold an open day on Sunday.
A regional Centre of Development under 15s training session will be held in the morning from 9-12pm while that will be followed by an under 13s session.
The under 13s training clinic will run from 1-4pm.
In other hockey news, Dubbo has four sides in action at the Hockey NSW Indoor Women’s Masters titles at Goulburn.
The competition runs from Friday through to Sunday with a Dubbo side featuring in all four grades.
The Division 1 side started its campaign with a heavy 5-0 loss to the strong Metro South West 1 on Friday morning.
