A policewoman has been injured after stopping a vehicle at Mudgee on Sunday morning.

Shortly after 3.30am on Sunday officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District were patrolling Horatio Street, Mudgee and stopped a Holden Commodore with three people on board.
During the vehicle stop, police developed cause to search the vehicle, during which they allegedly located prohibited drugs and items unlawfully obtained.
The occupants exited the vehicle on request, and police conducted a number checks.
The passenger, a 36-year-old man ran to the driver’s side door of the vehicle.
As police tried to stop the man, he has allegedly struck the policewoman on the hand before driving off, dragging the officer for about five metres.
The female officer sustained minor bruising and swelling to her hand.
The male officer sustained an arm injury.
Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District have commenced investigations into incident.
Anyone with information or who was in the vicinity at the time of the incident, is urged to come forward.
