Volunteers like the Dubbo Rescue Squad and Orana Residents of Indian Sub-Continental Heritage undertook a range of roles from ensuring the event ran smoothly, to keeping the attendees safe.
More than 8000 people were expected to attended the festivities.
Media liaison Karina Judd promised the firework display would be “bigger, brighter, more colourful” and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
From the night markets to the motor display by the Golden West Holden Owners Club to the water skirmish and sand pits, there was something for everyone at the event.
All money made at the Dubbo Fireworks New Year’s Eve celebrations will go back to a selection of local charities.
