Police, Dubbo Regional Council, and senior members of Dubbo's Emergency Services decided that the risk to volunteers could not be justified for exercise purposes.
The exercise, which has been designed to test the response capabilities of Dubbo Emergency Services to respond to a major life threatening occurrence at the airport, has been postponed to March 17, 2018.
Emergency Services are aware that disasters and life threatening events can happen in any weather condition and we assure our community that we stand ready to respond in any conditions, day and night, but we need to consider the care and comfort of our many community volunteers, that were willing to give their time to ensure the success of the exercise, and look forward to their participation in the exercise in March.
