A 70-year-old man was taken away from the scene after the vehicle he was driving crashed through some gas tanks and into a fence.
Thankfully the driver, staff and other customers were uninjured.
Police, ambulance and HazMat crews attended the scene but by 9.30am it was business as usual with motorists pumping fuel at the location.
“Thankfully the incident wasn’t as bad as it sounds,” Orana Local Area Command duty officer Inspector Jason Pietruszka said.
“The driver became distracted by something and ended up where he shouldn’t have.
“While he did go through some gas tanks there was never really the danger of anything exploding, and the staff on the scene did a really good job.”
