FunFlight marked its 10th anniversary with a day of flights across Australia and the Dubbo event was well supported.
Aero Club members not only took children and their carers on the flights, but also ran a barbecue for participants.
Karina Southwell and her children Georgia and Lucus enjoyed their 20-minute flight over the city. It was the first time any of them had been up in a plane.
“We flew over the LH Ford Bridge, the old RAAF base, Orana Mall, the mine out the other side of town and the new housing development in South. We circled right around the whole town,” she said.
“My son loved it. He got to sit up the front with the headphones on and talked to the pilot.
“The guys [from the Aero Club] are great. For them to donate their time is pretty amazing.”
