Renowned flautist Jane Rutter and guitarist Giuseppe Zangari will present Tango! Raga! Habanera! from 7.30pm.
Conservatorium director Vivienne Winther said the concert would transport music lovers to the streets of Paris and the dance halls of Buenos Aires through French-Hispanic pieces, flamenco-inspired habaneras and South American tangos.
Ms Rutter was recently awarded the Chevalière des Arts et Lettres by the French government for her international achievements as a performer, recording artist and all-round ambassador for the flute. Mr Zangari performs extensively as a guitar soloist and chamber musician, and lectures in classical guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Ms Rutter will give a public masterclass on Thursday from 6pm. Visit www.macqcon.org.au for details of the masterclass and concert and book online at www.123tix.com.au.
