The five-year-old had gone seven starts without a win, the longest run of his 25-race career, heading into Sunday’s race at Dubbo but he cruised to a 6.9m win in a mile rate of 1:59:3 in the Stevenson’s Hydraulics Pace (2120m).
On Wednesday, Karloo Damajor will line up from gate five in the Bathurst RSL Club Pace (1730m).
There is some genuine talent in the race with Steve Turnbull’s Sportygal going from gate seven while Amanda Turnbull is expected to start as favourite with Hidden Courage.
The gelding has won five of his past eight starts while he has only missed a place once in the past 11 races.
Bathurst’s eight-race meeting starts at 5.28pm with the Bathurst RSL Club Pace at 6.30pm and the last leaving at 9pm.
