The surrounds of Walgett Jockey Club could not be more different to that of where More Of The Zaim started in his last race.

Sheree McEwan’s gelding made his last start at the Gold Coast on June 7, running fifth in a 1400m Open Handicap that day, and on Saturday he will carry the top weight in the Walgett Cup.
The Goondiwindi-based McEwan has covered plenty of kilometres with her experienced seven-year-old and he will be among the favourites in the 1400m feature despite the huge weight he has been handed.
More Of The Zaim will carry 61.5kg on Saturday, with Michael Hackett in the saddle, while Garry Lunn’s Kingtantes is next at 54.5kg.
That will be offset with the booking of Dubbo apprentice jockey Chris Williams.
Kingtantes is yet to place in four starts this preparation but Lunn will fancy his chances in what is a step down in class compared to recent starts.
The Cup is scheduled for 3.35pm on Saturday.
