RISING STARS Dylan Eather and Danny Barber’s gamble to break away from their 21-minute handicap group during Saturdays fifth round of the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series paid dividends, with the pair topping the podium after the 34km event.

Eather ultimately edged out Barber in a tight sprint to claim victory, with fellow young talent Lachie Clark (+14 minutes) in third ahead of Julia Mannix (+17 minutes) and Heather Ticehurst (+17 minutes) in fourth and fifth respectively.
Tom Mannix (+14 minutes), Mitch Hines (+14 minutes), Vaughn Eather (+20 minutes), Mick Harvey (+21 minutes) and Brodie Wheeler (+14 minutes) rounded out the top ten. Alex Russell, Darrell Wheeler, Haylee Fuller, Bill Williamson, Simone Grounds, Jeff Sargent, Zara Fuller, Catherine Fuller, Tim Barnes and Sarah Gordon finished 11th to 20th.
Eather’s race winning time was 54 minutes 30.050 seconds for the hilly 34km race. Adam Mitchell (+27 minutes) recorded the fastest time of 51 minutes 8.394 seconds, while Haylee Fuller was the fastest female with a time of 56 minutes 32.776 seconds at an average speed of 36.29km/hour.
Clark no sits atop of the overall points score standings on 172 points after five rounds of the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series, with Tom Mannix in second on 167 points, Brodie Wheeler (147 points) in third, Mitch Hines (131 points) in fourth and Zac Fuller (113 points) in fifth.
Sarah Gordon (112 points) Julia Mannix (104 points), Zara Fuller (102 points), Ann Clark (93 points), Heather Ticehurst (88 points), Darrell Wheeler (87 points), Vaughn Eather (86 points), Dylan Eather (85 points), Tony Simic (83 points) and Danny Barber (78 points).
Jessica Fuller leads the Dubbo City Toyota Junior Road Racing Series on 87 points ahead of Hamish Murphy (69 points), Imogen Fuller (66 points), Makayla Fuller (60 points), Rocco Wrigley (47 points) and Emily Hines (47 points).
The sixth round of the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series will be on Saturday, Wongarbon long course for a three-stage mini tour. Sign on is from 1.30pm to 2pm for a 2.15pm start.
