Northcott Society were handed the $3000 cheque by participants of the 2017 Desert Duel, Sharyn and Murray Gilchrist of the Matilda Motor Inn. It is a portion of the total $70,000 raised during the rally held in New Zealand in March this year.
Northcott will spread the funds across a number of avenues to ensure the best possible facility for its customers. This includes a smart TV, new fridge, block-out blinds in the program room and a new barbecue.
“We’re trying to use it as best we can so all our customers are getting a great service with great facilities,” centre base coordinator Jenny Bevan said.
