“And that usually takes a couple of drinks for a bit of courage,” he told the Daily Liberal in between rehearsals for Stars of Dubbo 2017-Dance for Cancer on May 6.
Mr Thompson, 29, is “ridiculously scared” about taking to the stage of Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre and “really nervous about letting down” his dedicated teachers at Stepping Out Dance Factory.
He is one of 11 “stars” raising money for Cancer Council NSW by performing at the fundraiser.
On Wednesday Mr Thompson had more than $11,000 in his kitty and new respect for dancers. “Three weeks to go and I’ve got a lot of work to do,” he said. Donations can be made at www.everydayhero.com.au/event/starsofdubbo2017/our-stars.
