The hypnotist is on his Great Southern Trance Tour and will be playing a free event at the Dubbo RSL.
Wayne has been travelling across the nation hypnotising willing volunteers from the audience.
The Great Southern Trance Tour has taken Mr Donnelly to over 200 towns so far. He was in Dubbo on Thursday taking in the sights and people from the town.
Not only did Wayne check out Taronga Western Plains Zoo, but he also visited the Daily Liberal office for a special hypnotic performance.
I was fortunate enough to be hypnotised by Wayne and can say having never been hypnotised before it was a very exciting experience.
I was very nervous at first, and it took me a while to focus and relax, but I did and then suddenly I was ‘asleep’.
While I was still aware of what was going on I was very much under Wayne’s hypnotic influence.
I was told my arm would be hard, rigid and powerful while I was under and when I was told to wake up, to my complete and utter surprise my arm actually was!
But what was more shocking was that no matter hard I tried I couldn’t push that arm down with my other hand.
I had another amazing experience while being hypnotised when I couldn’t count the fingers on my hand. I knew the numbers in my head, but it took me a while to get the words out.
Mr Donnelly first got into the industry by working with clients in hypnotherapy with issues such as weight loss, smoking, anxiety, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Mr Donnelly said participants at his shows will have to volunteer to be hypnotised and wanted to again stress that no-one will go on stage unwillingly.
Those willing volunteers will go under a test to see if they can relax and focus, and will then go through another test, all before being properly hypnotised.
The free show will be held at the Dubbo RSL, in the Entertainment lounge on Saturday, April 15, with the showtime to begin at 9pm.
“I’m looking for people who can relax and focus… they just need to allow the process to happen,”
Mr Donnelly said the two hour show will be full of laughs.
“I just want people to come along and have fun,” he said.
