By Thursday there were only about 60 of the 400 tickets left to Top Gun, which will show on Friday April 7, Dubbo Regional Council’s Jason Yelverton reported.
Dirty Dancing, to show on Saturday April 8, also had about 60 tickets remaining.
The 400 tickets available to Grease, the first movie on the Saturday night, sold out within a week of going on sale.
But ticket sales suggest Dubbo could be a city of scaredy cats.
On Sunday April 9 horror classic Nightmare on Elm Street will screen.
“About 120 tickets have sold (to it), so there are plenty left - if you’re game,” Mr Yelverton said.
Dubbo City Youth Council in partnership with Dubbo Regional Council is re-opening the drive-in for one weekend only as part of the National Youth Week Program.
New signage was recently installed along the Mitchell Highway site.
