It is a big one too, with former NRL speedster Stewart Mills signing on to replace Byron Warren.
Mills, a former Cronulla Sharks player between 2011 and 2013, is relocating to Nyngan to help the Tigers on their path to a Group 11 premiership.
Tigers club president Glen Neill said he’s excited to start the 2017 season.
“We’re extremely pleased to announce the signing of Stewart Mills as first grade captain coach for this season,” he said.
“Stewart is an extremely talented and skilled rugby league player with an extensive knowledge of the game.”
Mills has received high praise before, with leading pundit Phil Gould describing Mills’ first game in 2011 as “one of the toughest most competent first-grade debuts,” he had seen.

Neill said the team is hoping to finish as strong as they did last season, if not better. The team finished third in the 2016 season before being bounced in the preliminary final by eventual premiers Forbes.
“We’ll certainly be trying for that Group 11 premiership,” he said.
The club has already started its pre-season training with players attending sessions from 6.30pm at Larkin Oval on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
