Reigning W-League Player of the Year Sykes enjoyed her best match against the Roar earlier this month, scoring the only goal of the match to seal a win and earn praise from Dower.
"Ash was outstanding again and is a quality player, she showed why she's the reigning Julie Dolan medal winner, it was a great display,” the coach said.
The striker didn’t get among the goals during Saturday’s big win over the Jets, but was heavily involved.
Sykes provided the assist for fellow attacker Michelle Heyman on 52 minutes to set up a 3-0 lead.
