Friday is set to be a bumper day of racing, with the minimum amount of prizemoney on offer being $30,000 due to it being a Racing NSW Showcase Meeting.
Clint Lundholm’s Dubbo Gold Cup winner Any Blinkin’ Day leads the four local hopes, with Connie Greig’s in-form Our Sarastro, Peter Nestor’s Dane De Lago and Justin Stanley’s Something Borrowed also nominated.
Our Sarastro has found form this preparation for Greig, with each of the gelding’s past five starts resulting in top two finishes.
Those finishes include wins at Narromine and Dubbo but Friday’s feature would be another step up.
The Showcase meeting received a bumper 171 nominations, with 20 of those in the Cup.
Final fields are released on Wednesday.
