“We wish to inform customers that Telstra is preparing to undertake maintenance work to the mobile towers in South Dubbo and on Douglas Mawson Road,” Telstra area general manager Mike Moran said.
“As this work needs to be carried out during daylight hours, for health and safety reasons, our technicians will need to switch off some sectors which support mobile services in the area. This will result in a disruption to mobile services at different times between December 5-15,” he said.
Mr Moran said every effort would be made to reduce the impact to customers.
“We understand this is an inconvenience and we thank residents for their patience, as the maintenance will provide longer term improvements to services in the area for our customers.” he said.
All customers with 3G services, including data and mobile phones, and mobile EFTPOS facilities will be impacted during these windows.
The exact days the disruptions will occur are unknown as they will be dependant on the weather.
