While it was Nyngan who won the Shield last season, Dubbo and Wellington have often met in deciders, with both having moments of ascendancy.
Dubbo heads into Sunday’s match at No. 1 Oval in winning form, having defeated Narromine last weekend.
Wellington lost it’s most recent match, with a Nic Cosier century not being enough to stave off defeat against Cobar.
The Dubbo bowling attack impressed last week, with the likes of Ben Semmler and Ben Knaggs creating early pressure and then Blake Watmore capitalised, taking six wickets as Narromine was rolled for 113. Wellington has been boosted by the return of Macquarie captain Keiran Brien, who missed the loss to Cobar.
Plays begins at 10am.
