The concert started at the Wesley Community Hall at 2pm, and was followed with an afternoon tea to celebrate the choir's 14th birthday.
"It was fantastic, it was amazing. We had 140 people, far above what we expected," Sing Australia member Michele Peak said.
"We had no idea how many people we would get because it's our first concert."
There are about 50 members in the Dubbo group, ranging in age from 30 to 70.
"We were all pretty nervous when we started off but then we relaxed. By the end of it the boys were even doing a bit of line dancing," Ms Peak said.
The audience also added their own voices to the performance.
"People in the crowd were singing along with us as well which was what we wanted. We told people at the start if they knew the songs they should sing along and we could hear people from the stage," Ms Peak said.
Having performed their first concert, Ms Peak said she was already getting comments about when the next would be.
"A lot of people we talked to afterward said we should do this annually, but oh my God, I organised it all and I don't know if I can do it annually," she said.
The choir has performed at the Dubbo Farmers' Markets for the past 10 years as well as in other places like shopping centres and aged care facilities.
