Nyngan police officer Sergeant Tony Wood said while NSW Police haven't had official confirmation it's Ms Eiao's body that was found they are fairly confident it is her.
"It's going to take time to make a DNA comparison between the body and the clothes," he said.
Since her death friends have been using social media to express their shock and pay tribute to Rocky.
Forensics officers are still working on determining the circumstances surrounding the death of the 25-year-old shearer, last seen in the area between Nyngan and Bourke on Friday, February 26.
A funeral notice has been posted on the website of Young-based business Penrose Funerals advising the public of her death.
"It is with sympathy that we advise of the death of Ms Rocky Marcia Sue Eiao, late of Quandialla. Much loved daughter of Mark Trethowen and Rita Eiao. Loved sister of Stone and aunty of her family. Dear granddaughter of Colleen and a much-loved niece and friend. Funeral arrangements will be available here as soon as they are confirmed".
A Rocky Eaio memorial page peppered with images of Rocky during her 25-year life has also been established on Facebook

You were one of the best workers I had the privilege of working with, and you would have made a bloody good shearer! You had the heart of gold, and the memories you left us all will never be replaced".
Esther Jane Smyth: "Rockstar my heart just aches for you. I'll be ever grateful what you taught me in the sheds and times we spent together. You are so special in so many ways and you were way too damn good for this world sweet girl. Thanks for all the great times we've had. You'll always be a star to me Rocky. So fly high and be the brighter star. So lovely and kind and a heart of gold. You'll always be in my heart Rocky. Until we meet again".
