Event organiser Sue White said the bikini would be delivered to Dubbo and modelled at two events.
Designed by Sydney jeweller Nic Cerrone, the two-piece would be worn by a local woman who would remain anonymous until her multi-million-dollar appearance at the VIP cocktail evening preview at the Dubbo Golf Club, and then at the gala dinner to be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC).
The Glitz and Glamour Extravaganza will promote high quality Australian Opals, which are the national gemstone. The event will highlight opals from the nearby mining town of Lightning Ridge as well as argyle pink and white diamonds and pearls.
The exhibit will include a staggering $60 million worth of opals, alone.
Mrs White is keen to highlight rare Australian gems to those who are curious or to those with a passion for fine jewellery.
The organiser said the "unique" Rainbow Collection will feature extremely rare and valuable pieces.
"These black opals were all mined in Lightning Ridge between 1994 and 2000," she said.
"They are stunning pieces."
A selection of jewellery designed by award-winning Sydney designer Nic Cerrone will also be on display.
The not-for-profit event will benefit the Royal Flying Doctor Service and is set to attract a host of celebrities to the city.
"We have some fantastic people like author Di Morrissey coming along, Nic Cerrone from the House of Cerrone, fabric designer Linda Jackson and artist and author Len Cram," she said.
The cocktail evening preview will be held at the Dubbo Gold Club anda celebrity luncheon at the Savannah Room at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (TWPZ).
A black tie dinner will also be held on Saturday October 13 that will see models parading some of Australia's best award-winning jewellery.
Sunday will close with a TWPZ breakfast and early morning walk.
The event will run from October 10 to 14.
