The figure is contained in the Domestic airline on time performance August 2014 report released by the Australian Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics for that month.
The report showed 88 per cent of departures from Dubbo were on time, ranking the airport number 10 in Australia.
It was not the first time Dubbo made the top 10 list for on time departures this year, having ranked sixth in May (92.4 per cent) and seventh in July (87.6 per cent).
When it came to individual airlines flying in and out of Dubbo, there was not much separating rival airlines QantasLink and Regional Express (Rex).
Of its 161 scheduled flights from Dubbo to Sydney, Rex had one cancellation while none of the 123 scheduled QantasLink flights was cancelled.
For that route, 88.8 per cent of Rex flights left on time, compared with 87 per cent of those operated by QantasLink. On the same route, Rex flights arrived on time in 80.6 per cent of cases, compared with 83.7 per cent of QantasLink flights.
When it came to the Sydney to Dubbo route, none of the 155 scheduled Rex services nor 123 QantasLink services were cancelled.
QantasLink flights left on time in 85.4 per cent of cases, compared with 85.2 per cent for Rex. Rex flights arrived on time in 88.4 per cent of cases, compared with 86.2 per cent of QantasLink flights.
